What marketing covers
Sales on Mercado Libre don't start with advertising — they start with the listing. If it's built for local search queries and shot properly, advertising costs a fraction of what it otherwise would.
Spanish-language listings
included in account managementNot a translation from your source language, but a build around local keywords: what the product is called and how it's searched for in a specific country, local sizing charts and units of measurement, and specifications in the form the buyer actually filters by.
Photo and video
fixed fee per projectProduct shoots on location, to the platform's requirements: main image, angles, infographics with specifications, a short video for the listing and for ads. We shoot goods already checked in at the warehouse, so you don't need to ship samples separately.
Advertising inside the platform
included in account managementMercado Ads: bids, keywords, promoting listings in search results and inside competitors' listings.
Meta, Google, TikTok
monthly retainerExternal traffic to the listing or to the brand. It works where organic placement on the platform has hit the ceiling of what bidding can do, and at launch, when the listing has no history yet.
Local creators
per placementCollaborations with Argentine and Brazilian creators. For the buyer, it's a way to find out about a brand that doesn't have reviews yet.
Collaborations and events
case by caseJoint projects with local companies and brands, offline events. In Argentina we have our own business community and experience running events.
- On-platform advertising is built into the model as a share of revenue — 10% by default in the calculator.
- External channels — the platforms' ad budget plus the team's work, at market rates.
- Creators — per placement or as a barter deal in product.
- Ongoing marketing — a monthly retainer. One-off work — a fixed fee.
- Photo and video production, packaging, and brand building are quoted per project — we send the estimate before work starts.
Building a brand in the local market
For a new or unfamiliar product, simply being on the marketplace isn't enough: the buyer first has to get to know the brand, see it with creators they follow or in places they recognize, buy into the idea — and only then want to purchase.
Market research
How demand works in the category, who has already claimed a place in the buyer's mind, what language they use to talk about your product, and what they're willing to pay a premium for.
Communication platform
What the brand promises, to whom, and in what words. Differentiation from competitors, tone of voice, key messages for the listing, for ads, and for creators.
Website and landing pages
The place external traffic leads to, and where the brand looks like a brand rather than one more line in marketplace search results.
Traffic and advertising
Paid channels in the local market: search, social, video. We run them as a separate project with their own metrics, not as an appendage to the listing.
Online integrations
Influencers and media outlets in the country of sale: reviews, unboxings, editorial coverage. We select them by audience, not by follower count.
Offline
Events and partnerships with local venues and brands. In Argentina we have our own business community, and that speeds up getting deals done.
If the product is self-explanatory and demand for it already exists, you don't have to build a brand — the listing and advertising are enough, and we'll say so. Brand building makes sense for a new, disruptive, or premium product, and when you plan to enter not one country but the region.
Packaging on location
An additional service for sellers who would rather not ship goods pre-packaged and want to save on logistics by reducing cargo volume.
To your design files
We find a manufacturer in the country of sale, agree on materials and print run, and control quality and deadlines. You send the artwork — we make sure the packaging reaches the warehouse by the time the goods are checked in.
Developed from scratch
If there is no artwork, we develop our own version: construction, material, and design to the requirements of the platform and the local buyer. We approve it with you and put it into production.
Cargo volume affects freight directly, and on the marketplace it also affects the delivery rate charged to the buyer: since March 2026 in Brazil, that rate depends on the weight and dimensions of the parcel. Goods shipped without retail packaging and packed on location often work out cheaper in logistics even once the cost of producing the packaging is counted in. We quote it individually, based on print run and material.
Trademark registration
In Argentina the right goes to whoever files first, not to whoever starts selling first. Registering other people's brands here is a working business, so you need to file before sales begin. The cost is quoted individually and depends on the country and on the number of classes the trademark is registered in.
Choosing an attorney and a preliminary search
We select a trademark attorney in the country of registration and check the registry for identical and similar marks in the relevant classes. If the mark is taken, you find out before filing rather than after a refusal.
Preparation and filing
We define the classes, prepare the mark's image and the list of goods, and file through the trademark attorney. Priority is secured as of the filing date.
Registration in the name of a team member
Until you have residency and a local address, the applicant is a member of our team. The procedure and the timing for transferring the rights to you are fixed in the contract from the outset.
Publication and opposition period
The application is published in the official bulletin, and third parties have a window in which to oppose it.
Examination and certificate
We see it through to the certificate. Protection, meanwhile, runs from the filing date, not from the date of issue.
Transfer of the rights to you
As soon as you arrive and obtain your status, we transfer the mark into your name. This is not an option — it's a contractual obligation.
The applicant must have a local address and status. Until you have arrived and obtained residency, that role is filled by a member of our team — otherwise the application simply won't be accepted and the priority is lost. So that this doesn't turn into a risk for you, the procedure and the deadline for transferring the rights, along with liability for refusing to transfer them, are written into the contract before the application is filed. The mark is registered for your brand and with your money — it is yours from day one; the only question is who is the formal holder.
Let's talk about marketing or the trademark
Tell us about the product and the brand — we'll propose a set of channels and quote the registration.
How to promote a product and protect a brand in Latin America
A listing run through machine translation doesn't sell, and it isn't a matter of translation quality. A buyer in Argentina or Mexico searches for the product using different words, is used to different sizing charts and units of measurement, and some of the phrasing that feels natural elsewhere simply isn't used in local Spanish. We build listings around local search queries rather than translating them.
Promotion inside the platform is built around Mercado Ads campaigns, work on price and search position, response speed to buyers, and seller reputation. External traffic — social media, creators, collaborations — we switch on once the listing already converts: driving people to a weak listing means paying for someone else's views.
Trademark registration is a separate service and probably the most underrated one. Most countries in the region operate on a first-to-file principle: the right goes to whoever filed first, not to whoever started selling first. A successful product with an unregistered mark regularly leads to someone else registering the name, after which selling under it is no longer possible.
That's why we file with the trademark office in parallel with the first batch, not after the first sales, and see the case through to the certificate. A registered trademark also unlocks the brand protection tools on the platform itself — which lets you take down other people's listings that copy your product.
